Nyako’s statement targeted at pulling down Jonathan’s administration, alleges PDP.

ABAKALIKI-THE leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Southeast zone, Wednesday, alleged that the recent comments made by the Governor of Adamawa state, Alhaji Murtala Nyako over the state nation was targeted at pulling down President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.
In a statement by the zonal Publicity Secretary of PDP, Southeast zone, Hon. Ali Odefa, the party described Governor Nyako’s statements as misleading and fortunate assuring that the party would remain stronger and better despite the challenges facing the nation at this time.
The statement read in part: “We want to assure the APC that power and position comes from God and only the Almighty determines the fate of all mortals. We urge Nigerians to remain vigilant and watchful of these elements even as we assure that President Jonathan and the ruling party, PDP will neither be deterred nor derailed by these few who have reached their political menopause, but will continually work towards building a country united by the goal of peace, progress and prosperity.
“The attention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southeast zone has been drawn to the highly unfortunate and misinforming letter written to the governors of the 19 Northern states by the APC Governor of Adamawa state, Alhaji Murtala Nyako.
“The said letter, which was published in a national daily is a clear manifestation of frustration and a twisted mind whose sole aim is to once again cause
disaffection amongst the people of Nigeria and ultimately plunge the country into crises and summarily pull down the current government of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP led by His Excellency, the President and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, GCFR. “Characteristic of the APC and expectedly too, Alhaji Murtala Nyako went bunkers in his futile attempt to begin a civil war and variously
called President Goodluck Jonathan “Hitler”, “Evil-minded”, “bloody-minded” and many other gross adjectives that are obviously intended to incite the public to take up arms against the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Governor Nyako in his misleading letter titled “On-going Full Scale Genocide in Northern Nigeria”, tried woefully to cloak his intentions, but due to the shallowness of his unfounded, irresponsible, criminal and unwarranted allegations against the government of President Goodluck Jonathan and a better focused PDP, he unveiled his real intentions and his cohorts: to ensure the escalation of violence through the instrumentality of the terrorist group, Boko Haram.
“In his wacko vituperations, Governor Nyako committed a professional hara-kiri by taking the Nigeria armed forces to Golgotha. He unkindly and ungratefully denigrated the institution which produced him; the institution which strives day and night to protect the integrity of our dear country; the institution which on daily basis loss their personnel in numbers while trying to stop the carnage in some parts of the north, motivated by Nyako and his Boko Haram friends”.
Continuing: “The PDP Southeast zone solidly aligns itself with all the good people of our great country in their unflinching support, prayers and loyalty to the government of President Goodluck Jonathan as he strives relentlessly to rid Nigeria of all terrorists’ elements, while building a more egalitarian nation for us citizens and our children unborn.
“It is on record and well known to Nigerians that all Governor Nyako and his party, APC is after is solely to take over powers at the centre through violence. Even though President Goodluck Jonathan has always favoured dialogue in resolving issues and disputes where any exists, the APC and its sponsors rather thrive in violence and cheap blackmail.”
